Onkyo Receivers

Onkyo Receivers

The rise in super slim high definition televisions has left an opening for the home theater system companies. These HD TV’s are so slim that they invariably come up short in the sound department leaving customers few options for quality audio output. Besides that, people who can afford it love to have that theater like experience in the comfort of their own home.

Creating a true theater experience in your home can seem like quite the challenge. You need quality speakers, good wiring and a receiver to tie it all together. Popular with many people are the Onkyo receivers and speakers.

You have two choices when building a home theater system, you can buy the complete system in a box or put it together one piece at a time. Either way you will need Onkyo Receivers to complete the picture, in the first situation it will come packaged with all the speakers or in the second, you will buy each speaker and the receiver separately.

With a complete home theater in a box, there are some advantages and disadvantages. Complete systems will contain the best complimentary components most of the time. The company will work diligently to provide you with a home theater system where all you have to do is connect it and play. However on occasion you may find Onkyo receivers in a package deal that you are just not fond of, it is on these occasions that you may want to consider purchasing your components separately and building your own system.

The problem with this approach is number on the cost. All in one packages are usually much cheaper than going out and purchasing each individual piece. In fact, often times you will get a complete deal for the same price as the Onkyo receivers bring alone.

S9100 THX System- Features:

  • 7.1 surround
  • 1200 watt total power
  • Bass and treble control
  • 1080p HDMI pass through
  • AM/FM radio
  • AV receiver
  • 4 HDMI inputs
  • Full size speakers

Pros

This all in one home theater system breaks the mold for combination packages. You generally expect to find some issue with the components but this theater system rocks.

Onkyo receivers may be a little lax on the high definition up converting but that is where the deficiencies end. This is a smart home theater system that contains Onkyo receivers that automatically calibrates the speakers. It can also measure the distance from the speaker to the listener and uses equalization to balance the frequency.

Bottom Line

When CNET proclaims a unit to be the best box theater system they have heard to this point you know you have found a winner. This system may seem a little pricey to some people at $849, but it is worth every penny. You will spend that much on just Onkyo receivers if you tried to put this system together on your own.
