Mp3 80Gb
Mp3 80Gb IPod Edition

80gb mp3 player
Love the company or not there is a reason that IPod has taken the vast majority of the Mp3 80Gb market. You may hear many people complain about the player being tied so tightly to ITunes or other similar complaints but the fact remains that the IPod Mp3 80Gb is very popular.
Features
• 80 GB hard drive
• 2.5 inch screen, 60% brighter than earlier models
• Holds 20,000 songs plus thousands of photos and hours of video
Pros
Apple has taken the time to improve upon earlier models, the IPod Mp3 80Gb now has better battery life, brighter screen and larger memory capacity. Memory is a must have especially now the ITunes offers movie downloads. In addition to all the improvements IPod Mp3 80Gb also has a variety cool games to play.
On the more technical side is the new gapless playback. No more gaps between the tracks of your favorite album, old or new. On a side, not you can update the software on older players and get the gapless playback on them as well.
Cons
Since this player is basically the same design as the earlier model, you can still expect it to scratch easily and show fingerprints. To prevent damage to your IPod Mp3 80Gb you might want to look into a screen protector or carrying case, the nice feature of the IPod is there are more accessories for it than any other mp3 player on the market.
One big disappointment is the lack of FM radio, line in or voice recorder. Many other brands are offering all of the above as standard on mp3 players 80 GB and otherwise. Considering the price of the unit, it is surprising that there is no radio.
A nice option would have been a removable battery, even though battery life is nearly double, what it used to be.
Finally, the unit itself is expensive as are the accessories, however once again manufacturers have failed dismally in the ear bud department. Throw away the pair that ships with the IPod Mp3 80Gb.
Customer Ratings
IPod is not number one for nothing, customers love their Mp3 80Gb. Most customers who purchased the 80 GB IPod were returning customers and diehard fans. Comments like, Apple is the best, perfect mp3 player and more are frequently heard.
Overall
If you have the money to spend the IPod Mp3 80Gb is by all accounts a great personal media player. Very few complaints among customers and though expensive there is a great line of accessories. Not to knock the product but $599 at Amazon seems a tad expensive for an mp3 player that has been on the market for several years. However, that is simply a personal opinion and is no reflection on the quality of the unit itself.
